Privacy Policy

This notice explains how Super Solicitor, operated by Big In The North Limited (“we”, “us”), collects and uses your personal data. We are the data controller for the information you give us through the Service.
What we collect
- Your description of your situation. What you type into the search can include personal and sometimes sensitive (“special category”) information, such as details about your health, family or finances. Please share only what’s needed.
- Contact details you provide when you make an enquiry — such as your name, email and phone number.
- Location — if you use “near me”, we use your postcode or device location to sort firms by distance. We don’t store your precise location.
- Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the Service is used.
How and why we use it
- To match you with suitable regulated solicitors (the core purpose of the Service).
- To pass your enquiry to a solicitor you choose to contact.
- To operate, secure and improve the Service.
Our lawful bases are your consent (for sharing your enquiry with a solicitor and for processing any sensitive details), and our legitimate interests in operating the Service.
Who we share it with
When you choose to make an enquiry, we share your details with the solicitor you select so they can contact you. That solicitor then becomes responsible for your information as their own data controller. We also use trusted service providers to run the Service, including providers that power our AI matching and convert postcodes to approximate locations, plus our hosting and email providers. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and search information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You have rights under UK data protection law, including to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise them, contact us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to make the Service work and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
