Buying, selling or remortgaging a property is a legal process with a lot riding on it. Super Solicitor matches you with an SRA-regulated conveyancing solicitor who will handle the searches, the contracts and the transfer of money. Most conveyancing is done for a fixed fee, so you know the cost before you start.

A straightforward purchase or sale typically takes 8 to 12 weeks from instruction to completion. Leasehold properties, complex chains, and mortgage applications can add time. Your solicitor will keep you updated at each stage.
They carry out property searches (local authority, drainage, environmental), review the title and contract, handle the transfer of funds, and register your ownership with the Land Registry. For purchases, they also liaise with your mortgage lender.
Legal fees for a standard purchase typically range from £800 to £2,000, plus disbursements (searches, Land Registry fees, Stamp Duty). Most conveyancing solicitors offer a fixed fee, so get a written quote upfront.
Not necessarily. Conveyancing is largely done remotely and electronically. What matters is experience and responsiveness, not proximity. That said, some clients prefer a local firm they can visit.
